It is in good condition with a little fading to the edge of the front cover and fading to the spine. There is very light scattered foxing.

This is a large old geography book that was used as a text book. The full titled is Harper's School Geography with Maps and Illustrations prepared for expressly for this bwork by Eminent American Artists. It is copyright 1878. and published by Harper & Brothers. There is wear and trar to the cover and spine and some soiling and ripped pages but it is still a good solid book and an interesting history of history! The book measures aaprox. 12 1/4" X 10 1/4".

CONNECTICUT FIGHTS THE STORY OF THE 102nd REGIMENT
A scarce copy of a book titled Connecticut Fights The Story of the 102 nd Regiment by Captain Daniel W. Strickland. It was published in 1930 by the Quinipiack Press of new Haven, Connecticut. Part one covers the Colonial Wars to 1916, part two The World War, part three Reorganization of the Regiment, part four contains a Table of Casualties in France, List of Officers by Units, Roster of Officers and Roster of Enlisted Men Enrolling from Connecticut. There are numerous photographic illustrations and many portraits. The book contains 404 pages including the index. It has a dark blue cloth cover with gold print. The measurements are 10 7/8" X 8". There is a separation at the front hinge between the second and third blank page. There is some fading to the spine and light scattered soiling to the cover. Overall this is a nice copy.

The complete title of this large leather bound book is Commemorative Biographical Record of Tolland and Windham Counties Connecticut Containing Biographical Sketches of Prominent and Representative Citizens and of Many of the Early Settled Families. The book was compiled by J.H. Beers & Company in 1903. It is illustrated with portraits of the subjects as well a a facsimilie of their signature and there is a good long biography of each person represented. The front cover is detatched and there is a tear at the base of the spine. Otherwise the book is in good condition. It contains 1358 pages.
